Karakoram Highway reopens after landslide blockage at Tata Pani
The main road was blocked in the Tata Pani area of Diamar in Gilgit Baltistan on Tuesday night.

The Karakoram Highway (KKH) has been reopened for all types of traffic after being blocked in the Tata Pani area of Diamer on Tuesday night.
According to the Diamer administration, the road is now clear for travel as the debris from the landslide has been removed.
They noted that the highway is often obstructed in the well-known Tata Pani area during rainy weather.
Continuous rains and floods have impacted rivers and streams in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Reports of casualties have also emerged from various areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The heavy rainfall lashed on Saturday night caused blockade of the Karakoram Highway at multiple points where two cars were damaged, while houses, main and link roads were damaged in the Tangir and Darail areas of the Diamer district of Gilgit Baltistan.
Raja Ishfaq Tahir, spokesperson to the district administration, Diamer told The Northern Post that two cars traveling on the KKH were damaged after a mudslide hit them, however, passengers aboard remained safe in the incident.
He said that KKH was blocked at nine different points in the Gandalo area of Chila, Diamer.
